Reddit anno 18009/22/2023 ![]() ![]() I watched YouTube and the people said like marry but care who you marry and that this is all dependend and stuff. In CK3 I was like "wtf how do I start?!". There are items that can boost everything, upgrades like electricity for production or silos for farms.īut in general in comparison to CK3 which I tried a little bit: you have an idea what to do. With all dlcs there are around 15 different "kind" of population (5 unique "nations" each with different advancement steps) which are all required for the main progress. Keep in mind that the raw goods are from different continents which require different fertilities and population which require different supply and then need to be transported for crafting and usage.Īnd all this just to upgrade the homes so they demand more and different stuff. For example the heaviest building good "Elevator" is created in 15 steps (9 different raw goods and 6 crafting steps). The complexity is in the production chains and the logistics and transportation of all the goods. ![]() Imo it generally is not about war or fighting with your neighborhood. In Anno you build economy and supply for your population (and then optimize everything). The kind of complexity is very different. I played aoe but haven't really played stuff like EU or CK (I watched some videos). I feel like Anno is quite complex, especially with the dlcs (which are awesome!). How does Anno 1800 compare, broadly speaking? There's dozens of menus, aspects, facets to deal with. In contrast, grand strategy is a lot more complex, the learning curve much steeper. ![]() If you just keep creating villagers, always have them working, build houses, spend your resources, advance in ages, train soldiers, upgrade them, you should always win vs the AI. The difficulty comes from multiplayer/adaptation/build orders/reaction speed/the real time aspect, not really from the complexity of the game. I realize they are very different beasts, but maybe you could still very broadly compare them? Especially how their respective level of complexity/depth measures up? How different is the feel of the game? How steep is the learning curve?įor example, I feel RTS games are fairly simple when it comes to the basics and singleplayer. However, I have a lot of experience with RTS games (AoE1, 2, 3, 4) and some with Grand Strategy (EU4, CK2, CK3). I know Anno 1800 is a city-building game, not Grand Strategy or RTS. The digit sum of each year is always 9 (e.Piracy: Posts that ask for or link to piracy are not allowed. Stalking, harassment, intentional baits, and personal attacks: will strictly not be tolerated.
